UPDATE: After journeying close to 400km on foot – the equivalent of almost eight marathons back-to-back – Ben has made the difficult decision to finish his Run for Recovery earlier than planned due to injury.
While this wasn’t the outcome he had hoped for, what Ben has achieved is nothing short of extraordinary. He has shared his story with thousands of people, started important conversations about recovery and access to treatment, inspired communities along the way, and raised more than $25,000 to support people impacted by alcohol and other drugs.
But this isn't the end of Ben's Run for Recovery.
The run may have paused, but the impact continues. We're currently exploring how the journey will continue and will share more soon.
In the meantime, you can still support Ben's mission by donating and helping us spread his message: with access to the right support, recovery is possible for anyone.
Thank you for being part of Ben’s journey.
All donations raised are directed to Windana, the organisation Ben says helped save his life.
